Coronavirus update

Lots of our events in Conwy are cancelled because of Coronavirus. Our main aim is to make sure that our visitors, residents and businesses are safe. We’ll keep this page updated so you can check the status of the events you are interested in. If you would like more information then you can visit our frequently asked questions (FAQ) page.

For now, you can read about some of our annual events below. Use our calendar to find future events in the area. Please note some of the events below have been affected this year by Coronavirus.

Annual events in Conwy County

Our programme of festivals and events runs throughout the year.

If you’re a festival lover, then you’ll be spoilt for choice when you come to Conwy. We have local food fairs with award winning food producers, as well as world class pop stars at Stadiwm Zip World and Venue Cymru.                           

Sports lovers are also in for a treat. You can enjoy rugby in Colwyn Bay, cricket in Rhos-on-Sea, sailing in Conwy and car rallying in the forests of North Wales. There’s also a big focus on Conwy and Llandudno during the Wales Rally GB event.

In May, the town of Llandudno hosts the Llandudno Victorian Extravaganza event. This draws in huge crowds to the town. There’s a street fair with fairground rides, fun stalls, steam engines and people dressed up in Victorian costumes.

Christmas is a special time for events too. There are lots of fairs, celebrations and Christmas markets in Conwy County for you to enjoy. Get into the festive spirit by browsing the range of pretty Christmas stalls.

Unique events in our smaller towns

We also have lots of events which take place in our smaller towns. More details about these events can be found on our Towns and Villages pages. Look out for events such as the Deganwy Prom Day. This event has a range of activities, stalls and refreshments so you can enjoy a fun day out. Or you can travel inland and take part in local walking festivals in Trefriw and Snowdonia.
