About
Step into the Home Front Museum and take a step back in time – to 1940s Britain. At this unique, independent museum take a self-guided tour and experience the sights and sounds of civilian life during the Second World War for yourself.
Reminisce of a bygone age, or for those too young to remember, discover how the war was won on the home front; gas masks, ration books, home guard and evacuation – it’s all here! Thousands of genuine artefacts, imaginatively displayed, in a former wartime Auxiliary Fire Service station.
Dogs welcome. Gift shop. Exhibition entirely on ground floor level.
