Conwy Seafood Trail

Follow the Conwy Seafood Trail and discover a taste of the coast, from historic harbours and bustling seaside towns to independent restaurants, fishmongers, vineyards and food producers across Conwy County. Celebrating the area’s strong maritime heritage and close connection to the sea, the trail brings together places where visitors can enjoy fresh seafood, local produce and warm Welsh hospitality.

What makes the Conwy Seafood Trail special is the people behind it. From chefs and restaurateurs to fishermen, growers and local suppliers, each stop on the trail is shaped by a shared passion for quality, provenance and memorable food experiences. Whether it is freshly harvested Conwy mussels, seasonal Welsh fish, seafood specials, coastal dining or carefully paired local wines, the trail offers visitors a chance to explore the flavours, stories and landscapes that make this part of North Wales so distinctive.

The Conwy Seafood Trail has been developed in partnership with Bangor University's School of Ocean Sciences and Seafish UK, and is funded by Welsh Government’s Local Places for Nature: Coastal Capacity Building Fund, administered by WCVA.

Would you like to be part of the Conwy Seafood Trail?

We are inviting businesses and organisations across Conwy County to join the Conwy Seafood Trail and help us celebrate the fantastic seafood, people, places and stories that connect our communities with the coast.

The Conwy Seafood Trail forms part of the wider Seafood Trail Cymru, connecting Conwy with Gwynedd and Ynys Môn and helping residents and visitors discover where they can eat, buy and experience Welsh and locally caught seafood.

The Conwy project has been developed in partnership with Bangor University’s School of Ocean Sciences and Seafish UK, with funding from the Welsh Government and WCVA Coastal Capacity Building Fund. Its aim is not simply to create a food trail, but to strengthen local seafood supply chains, celebrate our fishing and maritime heritage, increase understanding of our marine environment and support sustainable tourism and resilient coastal communities.

Who can join?

We would love to hear from businesses, producers and organisations that have a public-facing presence or activity within Conwy County and can demonstrate a genuine connection with seafood, our coast or marine environment.

This could include restaurants, cafés and hotels; fishmongers and seafood retailers; fishermen, producers and suppliers; visitor attractions and activity providers; food and drink businesses; community or conservation projects; and organisations delivering seafood or coastal experiences and events.
