Rising above the estuary with its unmistakable line of towers, Castell Conwy feels just as impressive in real life as it does in photographs. June’s Pirate Weekend promises family-friendly fun with costumed characters, while medieval performances and storytelling throughout July help bring Conwy’s history to life. Visitors can also discover more about the town’s heritage through guided tours of the Thomas Telford Suspension Bridge, which connects to the castle and remains one of the earliest of its kind.
