Re-becayyb is a new performance work from Esyllt Angharad Lewis revisiting her now-closed primary school’s re-enactment of the history of the Rebecca Riots in the area surrounding Ysgol Felindre near Swansea. Playing with live musical elements, historical callbacks and gaps in time and speech, Re-becayyb will use the stage and steps of Esyllt’s installation to be in dialogue with the video work which has been playing within the stage for the duration of the exhibition, splicing between the sound of now, and then, and over there.

The performance will take approximately 30 minutes and some seating will be available.
