From adrenaline activities to gentle, scenic walks
The countryside in North Wales makes it an ideal location for outdoor adventure and adrenaline activities. Enjoy zip lines, water sports and rock climbing whilst admiring spectacular views of the coast and landscape. Conwy County is the part of North Wales where Snowdonia meets the sea, so the county encompasses a scenic coastline as well as a number of spectacular mountain ranges.
Whilst the area offers a range of fantastic adrenaline activities, visitors can also enjoy gentler sports in the county’s countryside. With a wide selection of superb golf courses, a number of local fishing spots and a variety of scenic walks to enjoy, you’ll find plenty of outdoor experiences to entertain all members of your holiday party.

Outdoor activity inspiration

For an adrenaline fix, head to Zip World Fforest in Betws y Coed. Fall 100ft through a trapdoor, fly through the forest on Zip World’s giant swing, or twist and turn through the trees on the Fforest Coaster. If you prefer water based adrenaline activities, head to Plas Y Brenin National Outdoor Centre in Snowdonia National Park to try canoeing, kayaking and white water rafting.

Enjoy a round of golf at Conwy Caernarvonshire Golf Club. Home of the Curtis Cup 2020, the links course provides a great golfing experience all year round.
For a more tranquil yet rewarding outdoor adventure, try one of the popular walks in the area. Head uphill and trek along the Conwy Mountain Walk to enjoy superb views over the county. Alternatively, enjoy a stroll around one of the county’s beautiful lakes. The circular trails at Llyn Brenig and Llyn Crafnant are pushchair friendly.

Tough at the Top Cycle Route
