From inland surfing lagoons to cable car rides on Llandudno’s Great Orme, Conwy County offers unique and exciting experiences for all visitors.

Head to the world’s first inland surf lagoon at Adventure Parc Snowdonia in Dolgarrog. The man-made waves roll every 90 seconds and there are beginner, intermediate and advanced surf lessons and courses available. Perfect for all adrenaline seekers.

For a more relaxed day out, head to Welsh Mountain Zoo in Colwyn Bay. Enjoy a range of animal talks and take a stroll around all the enclosures whilst admiring the stunning panoramic views of Colwyn Bay and the Carneddau Mountains.

If you prefer to be beside the seaside, you can enjoy a number of award winning beaches throughout the county. Llanfairfechan, Penmaenmawr and the West Shore and North Shore beaches in Llandudno all won Blue Flag awards in 2019. Alternatively, enjoy the sea views from Llandudno’s Great Orme! Ride to the top on the famous Llandudno Cable Cars or Great Orme Tramway during Spring and Summer, and enjoy a brisk Winter’s walk up there during colder months.

Those looking to immerse themselves in Welsh history and culture can head to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Conwy Castle. After exploring the castle take a stroll along Conwy’s town walls before heading to Conwy Quay to admire the Smallest House in Great Britain.
