Conwy County Borough Council has commissioned Arwel Jones Associates and Menter Iaith Conwy to identify attitudes towards the Welsh Language so that we can explore new ways of enhancing the visitor experience.
Studies show that visitors enjoy the ‘culture shock’ of encountering new words and that this can enhance their experience of a place. The use of language can give a sense of authenticity and create more meaningful exchanges.
As part of this project, we are keen to understand visitors’ perceptions of the Welsh language in Conwy County. We have developed three different surveys for the following visitor types:
· Non Welsh speaking visitors
· Visitors who are learning Welsh
· Welsh speaking visitors
Please could you take a few moments to respond to the short survey, which should take between five and ten minutes to complete. Please click on the relevant link above to access the survey.
This project is funded by the UK Government under the Community Renewal Fund together with Conwy County Borough Council
