Walks from Pont y Pair in the Gwydyr Forest

Book Tickets Online

This series of three moderate trails starts from the Pont y Pair car park in Betws y Coed and leads through the surrounding Gwydyr Forest. Cyrau (1.4 miles) partly follows an old miner's track through oak, birch, rowan and holly; Pen yr Allt (4 miles) incorporates glorious views of Moel Siabod and the Conwy Valley; and Llyn Parc (6 miles) starts along an old miners' path passing relics of Aberllyn Mine and the return stretch there are excellent views of the Conwy Valley.

To find the start of the trails follow the tarmac road out beyond the car park, heading west (away from Betws y Coed centre) for 150m, then take the first tarmac road on your right for 180m to a sharp bend. The walks are waymarked from this bend.
