AboutOld Colwyn beach is a short walk from Colwyn Bay town on the north Welsh coast off the A55, on the edge of Colwyn Bay. There is a selection of restaurants and cafes, a promenade with benches and ample car parking. It is a lovely sandy beach, and great for swimming, windsurfing and canoeing.
Wildlife enthusiasts can see sea birds, wading birds, and the occasional seal and dolphin can be spotted. The promenade is good for walking and this beach is dog friendly. Some entertainment can often be found on the promenade in the summer months.
There is no lifeguard at this beach.
