Major renovations are taking place to restore and preserve this grand building for generations to come. The Stella has been rebranded The Stella Historic Llandudno Bed & Breakfast and will reopen to guests from 15 June 2024.
The Stella provides high-quality accommodation in the Welsh seaside resort town of Llandudno. Located adjacent to the Llandudno Tram Stop at the base of the Great Orme, the property is only 200 metres from the Llandudno Pier and Promenade.
The Stella was built in 1883 by the commission of Lady Henrieta Augusta Mostyn, initially for use as a boarding school for young gentlewomen. It was converted into a guest house in the 20th century, and will reopen summer 2024 as The Stella Historic Llandudno Bed & Breakfast.
We are pet friendly! We are aware that some guests can’t bear to be separated from their furry companions, so all dogs—no matter their size or breed—are warmly welcome to holiday at The Stella with their humans.
The Stella is a grand Victorian home that has been lovingly restored with a complete renovation in 2023/24.
All our rooms have been fully refurbished to the most modern technical standards whilst retaining the charm and character of their historic Victorian grandeur. We offer 7 bespoke ensuite guest room configurations, and our 2-room apartment suite is especially suitable for longer stays.
All overnight reservations are inclusive of a traditional full British breakfast, as well as Continental and American breakfast options.
Free, full wireless broadband internet is available throughout the entire property.
Reservations in The Joyce Suite and The Lorena Room include one parking spot each in the private drive to the rear of the Stella. For those booked in any of our other guest rooms, there are a variety of metered parking options around town, and street parking is available on the frontage of The Stella along Church Walks on a first-come, first-serve basis.
The Stella is unfortunately not suitable for people with mobility challenges, due to the layout of the premises originating from the age of the building. We unfortunately are not able to offer wheelchair accessible features, such as lifts, and there are a number of stairs at the property, some that are quite steep.
Due to the historic nature of The Stella, many of the 19th century original features are regrettably not designed for young children.
You will always get the best rates by booking direct through our website. Additionally, select the special discounted rates for 2024 reservations, to commemorate the official reopening of the Stella, now rebranded The Stella Historic Llandudno Bed & Breakfast.
