About

Situated in the heart of this pretty coastal town, Penmaenmawr Museum takes you on a journey through the history of the landscape, the town and its people using stories and objects from the ancient past to the present.

The museum spans two floors and includes two galleries, a quiet room, a coffee shop, a gift shop and a children's area. Penmaenmawr Museum holds regular events for families, guided heritage walks, museum tours, archaeology days, demonstration days and children's crafts and storytelling.

The museum looks after a collection of objects, photographs and documents relating to the history of Penmaenmawr and the local area. The collection covers a number of themes including Bronze Age settlements, Neolithic axe-making, social and cultural history, the quarry industry and tourism.

Penmaenmawr Museum is free to enter.
